To hit an enemy, tap vigorously on the screen. There are combos, special attacks, and enemies who never attack together, always one after the other. The battles take place pretty much the same way, except that you don't control Batman's movement. The only way to recover it quickly (it takes about four minutes to recover one Stamina bar) is to use virtual currency. Every fight costs Stamina and you can quickly run out if you play the game for a long time. To fight, for example, Batman needs a certain amount of Stamina. Inbetween battles, the game invites you to go into a menu where you can unlock new outfits, weapons, and more.Ĭollecting virtual currency is a central element of the game. Like any free-to-play game, Batman: Arkham Origins includes a shop where you can buy accessories and skills to make Batman even more powerful. Several missions are available, but they are all identical in the sense that you have to take out the bad guys. The game's objective is clear– take out enemies. Bringing back The Joker after prematurely killing him in a previous title feels fairly cheap and thrown together, but Batman fans will still find this an essential play.Don't expect a Batman: Arkham Origins storyline: it isn't there. Batman swings between city streets, twirling around patient hordes of nondescript baddies who line up one by one to try their luck, while occasionally breaking off to follow a glowing series of footprints on the floor.
